Dear Pastor Evan,

We are so grateful for everything you did to make our wedding such a beautiful & wonderful experience :) ! Thank you very much for making an extra effort to get to know us (via Skype since we live out-of-state!) - you helped us create a very special, personal, meaningful, God-honoring ceremony, and we also appreciated the time you took to ensure that our marriage would be starting off right (we enjoyed those Prepare-Enrich sessions with you :) - they were fun!). Your kindness & reliability helped everything go smoothly, and you were able to incorporate the "surprises" we wanted to add without a flaw! We have such cherished memories when we think of our wedding - thank you for being such a blessing to us!!!
With sincere thanks, Jeff & Kris :)stor Evan, Chrissy and I just wanted to say thank you for doing our wedding. You have already impacted our marriage in a very tremendous way. It is a true blessing for us to have you as our pastor.

Our wedding was the most important day of our lives, and we are so happy you were there to share it with us! We couldn’t have picked a better pastor! We can’t thank you enough for EVERYTHING you did to make this wedding the way we wanted it to be. We felt extremely comfortable with you from the beginning. We appreciate that you listened to us and helped us create a marital foundation. We have received so many compliments about our ceremony on how beautiful and memorable it was. It was everything we wanted it to be and more and we are truly blessed.

Well, we are back from our honeymoon and just settling back into the grind, and the very first thing on my list was to get a big THANK YOU to you! We honestly could not have asked for a more beautiful, God centered ceremony. You really made our special day so much more special and we heard nothing but praises about you all night. Thank you for spending so much of your time getting to know us and tailoring our ceremony so much to US!

Again, Evan, thank you so much for everything over the past couple of months.

Love,
Mr. and Mrs. Garland :)

Welcome to my wedding pastor site! I know that planning for this big day can be stressful with a zillion things to plan. I would love to help you plan all the details for the ceremony. I have performed hundreds of weddings here in California, San Diego and Mexico. I have over 25 years of ministry experience and love helping couples through this process. I use the Prepare/Enrich counseling materials that will give you a good evaluation of your relationship before you get married. This is a 165 question survey that covers 11 key areas of relationships. During the counseling sessions, we'll also plan your wedding ceremony to make it personal. I look forward to meeting you and helping you plan your special ceremony.

Please feel free to scroll through this site to look at pictures from some of the many weddings I have performed. There are some quotes from couples, as well as more pictures if you'd like to click on wedding titles on the right.

Poway wedding

Caleb and Kendra Hofseth got married in Poway at The Living Way church. Their reception was at the Civic Center park in Poway on a beautiful October afternoon. That's my daughter by the way, standing with us, not theirs!

Arizona Wedding

This summer I got to head out to Arizona and do the wedding for Sam and Nicole Ryberg. Sam's parents and I have know each other for over 30 years, so it was great fun to be able to do their sons wedding. What a great couple, so happy for them!

San Diego Bay

A few months ago I had the privilege of officiating at the wedding of Cameron and Amber Carter. Cameron's parents are my good friends Craig and Kelley Carter. Kelley and I went to high school together and Craig was one of my first bosses when I worked at Farrell's Ice Cream Parlor. We did the wedding on a beautiful boat right in the harbor in San Diego. It was one of the biggest wedding parties I've seen! What a great evening.
